I just got notified from WordPress in the morning that,

Happy Anniversary!

You registered on WordPress.com 1 years ago!

Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging!

It was really a comfortable, enjoyable and delightful journey for me all through this 1 year of memorable blogging task. I have been introduced in to blogging, a year back, as an amicable act which I have followed by a lecturer in St.Xaviers College, Kerala. Her resplendent thoughts expressed through proses, stories and poetries helped me to sequel for the origin a star over here. It might be all because of her presence in this blogosphere, I have started a lil blog with ‘bold life’ as a theme and http://www.iamrahulashok.wordpress.com as the web name. Once, a software issue pinged on my system and I changed the web name to current one after getting it resolved.

What all achievements I have made here so far?

*Now, I could write about anything (at least a sentence) within seconds with less grammatical errors in comparing with the posts which I had updated in the beginning.

*Friends? Yes, of course! I’m universally connected to people all around the world via this cyber platform, which can be definitely considered as one among the most prominent achievement I have consummate here. Few among them are too close to me after getting connected through Facebook, Skype and in short through few other messengers.

Naima, Soumya Dheedhi, Manu Chetan, Somaji, Sofia, Sheri, Alarna, Erica, Neeraj Bhayya, Manpreet, Ioanna…etc…and the number go on like this. These are just few names coming to my mind at first whenever I think about blogging. I’m obliged to have you all here, Folks. ❤ 🙂

*Reading the posts updated by the people I have been following was really a boring and time spearing job for me to follow on at the beginning. But later, I realized the importance in doing so and find it interesting to read other blogger’s updates which consist of a wider variety of topics rather than giving enough importance for my own personal updates.

*It was in the same year, I have met Manu Chetan, who is a fellow blogger of mine, here at my place and we had spent a great time together at various spots in Kochi. He is not like a brother, but he is someone who is more than just a brother to me now. You are simply awesome and I don’t know why I have mentioned ya so in this post, Manu Etta. *HUGS* 🙂

Once again, thank you all for encouraging me all these days by your sincere likes cum comments for my blog updates and contacts and something ‘more’ you have been still keeping with me! I guess, that ‘more‘ is unexplainable to me and I don’t know, how to express it through 2 or 3 words. You know, sometimes words can’t express the exact human emotions well.
PS: I’m not sentimental or emotional while writing this post! LOL. 😀 😉 🙂

Love ya all,
Rahul Ashok

One day with a WordPress mate!

I don’t know anything regarding the scientific explanations behind the connection of 2 souls who were indistinct and unknown to each other so long, as they belonged to 2 corners of 2 districts in God’s own country, India. If I’m right, they had got connected by the mid of May, 2012 through widely extended cyber platform. It will be much clearer and better if I say ‘WordPress’! Yes, I know Manu. S. Kurup (Manu Chetan) as a great writer in this specific domain of blogger system. For me, what makes him different from other people belonging to this world wide writer’s community is his identity itself. Both of us are pakka Keralites who were born and brought up in this greenery filled spot located in South India. Hence I put some additional efforts for connecting with this young gentleman who is currently doing his PhD degree as well as a Communicative English tutor in one among the popular institute situated at Hyderabad, India

When the days and months passed in the natural flow of time, we got connected much closer through Facebook, other than nominal enact which was existed in between us. So, we finally decided to meet here in Kochi on this month, when a hidden spirit played a MINOR role in the generation of thought like this in both of us. 😀 I’m residing at almost 140 kms away from his place of residence, but still we didn’t give any proper justification regarding this distance limit during our talks. 😀

16th March 2013:

As we already had planned before, I was waiting for his arrival at Kaloor Private Bus Stand by 09:30 in the morning. I got a call from him when I was standing there at around 9:45 am and he inquired me about the exact spot where he has to come, cause of the main reason that the location where I was standing isn’t so aware of him. I explained about it and waited there for a while again. When I was crossing the footpath, saw a guy passing by in front of me on his two-wheeler who wears a cool glass and nicely suited outfits with a bag on this back. With a much awaited action, I caught him at that moment itself by making a call and stand right in front of him. I was a bit confused about the attitude and character of this fellow! He is a tutor, who have been taking classes for gals and boys of my age you know? (I don’t think any elaborated description is required for this gentleman’s personality! You will find it out yourselves ‘DOWN’ in this post)

We felt bit unsecured in parking the bike on a nearby road, where a possibility of robbery is there. Hence we decided to go to Lulu International Mall, which is recently opened here in Kochi so that safe parking options are available there and go to Fort-Kochi via bus or boat service after visiting Lulu Mall. I sat on the back of his and he drove the bike to Lulu Mall which needs at most 15 minutes from color including traffic blocks, which is a common visual treat for every Kochite in his regular on road travelling schedules.

The first query which he asked me when we were on the way was “How are you, Rahul?” 😀
Me: “I’m fine, Cheta.” (Thank God! He gave a nice start for our conversation. :P)
Manu: Don’t you have class today?
Me: Yeah! I’m having one hour special class which is not so special for me in comparing with the Kochi Muziris Biennale and our meeting.  (At that instant, I forgot the crooked fact that he is a teacher!) 😀
But he just smiled after hearing me back and I explained him about the traffic related issues, temperature at Kochi and Edappally Church which we saw when we were on our way to Lulu Mall.

We reached Lulu Mall within 15 minutes of the ride and parked Manu Chetan’s bike in the space provided by authorities for parking. Later, we entered in to India’s Largest Mall which might become a very new experience for us in the world of shopping fully filled with International brands. While talking with him, I found out some similar thoughts we have kept in our insights. It’s a special note to mention here that, both of us are loving to lead a normal life rather than these deceptive busy cum modernized life by people these days in our technical oriented century. We simply walked all around the 3,900,000 sq ft of that building, but most the shops were closed and many of them were yet to be open after the inauguration.

Aww..! Awesome snap, Gentleman.

Aww..! Awesome snap, Gentleman.

While walking through the upper floor, the Lulu Department store suddenly came to our attention. It’s a multi-class big budget electronics and bookstore where you could find out what you actually need. Anyway, we got attracted to the smiling fellows who are kept in the stands provided with their genre at the top. Menu Chetan mopes me and shared his experiences when he was in Hyderabad doing an MA in late 2006. I giggled and smiled after hearing this fun talk whenever he provoked me to do so. 😀 He suggested me some readable books to read as well. After taking a few of the Malayalam stuffs, spend little more time there for checking and comparing the price rate of gadgets with the online and local stores, we found it amusing that the mobile gadgets have a very notable discounted price here. In comparing with the other malls in Kochi, I have felt that the cash payment system is too fast here. It took only 2 or 3 minutes for the cash to be payed for the books Manu Chetan had purchased. Then we moved to the topmost floor from taking food or at least a cup of coffee together, which I wouldn’t usually prefer while visiting malls. Perhaps, it might be all because of those junked stuffs price and the quantity of food they will serve for 100’s of bucks we would spend on it. This is the reason, why I personally prefer easily available and nearly surrounded street food shops in Kerala.

We sat in 2 chairs facing each other, which was one among the facility provided in a food court at the topmost floor. Even though, an order for 2 coffees was given, the shop wasn’t open and we thought of spending some additional time there with kinda talk outs. It was ‘me’ who started fluttering about all these shops from an extreme end and Manu Chetan somehow managed to hear me in a wholehearted way (I guess so). 😉 He kept his bag from shoulder to the table in front of us and took one of the book he had bought from the store. “Rahul, do you have a pen in hand?”, he asked me. I took the pen in my bag and give it to him. He started scribbling on the front page of the Malayalam translated version of ‘Motor Cycle Diaries’ by Che Guevara. I simply looked at his secret job in between and felt so excited while watching it.

Thanks a TON for this valuable gift, Manu Cheta! :)

Thanks a TON for this valuable gift, Manu Cheta! 🙂

“Thank you so much, Cheta”, I conveyed my esteemed note while receiving that valuable gift from him. He accepted it with a gentle smile and payed back an inescapable shake hand which was a must one (might be a formality though) in that instant. We talked about our families, sibling, current affairs in Kochi and Aleppey and all for some time, sitting in the same located comfortable position.

Kochi's special 'Kulukki Sarbath'!

Kochi’s special ‘Kulukki Sarbath’!

It was almost around 11:30 am, we left from the Mall and decided to go Kerala’s first Biennale conducted at Fort Kochi, India for this season 2012-2013. Even though, he mentioned me to go there with his two-wheeler via road, it was me who have had compelled to reach the Biennale spot by hiring a bus from Edappally-High Court, taking Kochi’s special cool cum fervid drink ‘Kulukki Sarbath’ from Shajikka’s shop out there, travel via water transport from Ernakulam Jetty-Fort Kochi, which I felt as a most recommended option for us to save our time as well as money.

A common view from Kochi!

“I saw the high handed discomfort of a gentleman who had been getting frequent calls from his lover while we were on the way. It was during that moment, I realized the grave fact which reflected the flaky thought of admitting a stranger to him by a guy, who is in ‘relationship’. I guess, have had given him max freedom from my side to keep my eyes away when he was talking with his sweet heart!” 😛 😉

Marine Drive Walkway, Ernakulam.

Marine Drive Walkway, Ernakulam.

We started our journey finally to Fort-Kochi after sipping a glass of ‘Kulukki’ through the Marine Drive walk way. Marine drive is one among the famous spot avail in Kochi for a perfect relaxation from regular work related stresses and tensions for every Kochite, all because of the greenery filled  palpable atmosphere present there. You might not believe that, a place like this is situated in the center of an urban city like Kochi.

I felt the discomfort in walking for this guy from his face, when we have almost covered 5 minutes of our exemplary ‘NATARAJ’ journey. But he wasn’t able to continue it after that and we sat on the wooden chairs provided at the side of the walkway for a while. After 10 minutes of rest, we began the journey again.

16th March 2013/ 12:45 pm at the Ernakulam Boat Jetty:

Queue for getting tickets at the Ernakulam Boat Jetty.

Queue for getting tickets at the Ernakulam Boat Jetty.

If there was a sudden unexpected event happened in our journey, I think this was it. We had lost around half an hour of our valuable time for getting our journey tickets to Fort-Kochi via boat service. The long standing queue including people all around the world were simply looking here and there and waited all this time with a hope to get their tickets soon from the conductor who was busy in counting the tickets for the next trip to our common destination. I told Manu Chetan to sit in the arena waiting for travelers and myself stand at the back end of the queue to move on.

I felt so ashamed for losing our time and didn’t agree with the plan of going to Fort Kochi on his two wheeler. But still, he smiled at me whenever I looked him for giving a nice ‘POST’ out there. We got the tickets later after waiting there for half an hour and hired our boat for travelling to the Biennale’s spot in our God’s Own Country.

Hotel Seagull, Fort Kochi.

Hotel Seagull, Fort Kochi.

What we did at first after reaching the destination was, searching an apt shop for filling our empty treated stomachs. We moved to the beach side of Fort Kochi after arriving at the other extreme end of Boat Jetty and found out a bar cum restaurant, ‘Seagull’.

For me, this was the greatest memorable thread during this journey. We became much closer to each other and started speaking about our blog related activities, blog mates and all.

That's a cool snap took by me! :P

That was a cool snap took by me! 😛

“Rahul, we have a group named ‘Ambiguous Words’ in Facebook, huh? It was a great thought came from you in making a specific space for us there” (smiled in b/w)

“Oh! Really? Thank you so much, Cheta!”, I replied him back with an even smile.

“I have been thinking of making an online magazine which includes stories, photography, prose, poetry, travelogue…(much more) by the members in our group. How will it be if we have made a project of that class?”

I was like, hearing a resplendent idea from someone sitting right in front of me. Without having a sapient look at it, I agreed with that truly wise idea with a great pleasure.

We had spent more than 1 hour at ‘Seagull’ and went out to complete our final target in the bucket-list of our journey. There is nothing much in detail to mention about Biennale I guess. Hope you all could understand it well from the pics below. For the detailed description about it, please do check their official web link: Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2012-2013

We left out from there at around 05:10 pm because of the lacking of time after watching the major venues of the Biennale, ‘ Aspin Wall House’ and ‘Pepper House’ and the short installation presented at the Fort Kochi Beach. Both of we were so tired and hence we decided to leave back to the city through AC bus service starting from there.

Reached finally at the point from where we started (Lulu Mall) the journey to take Manu Chetan’s bike in the uncontrolled traffic time in Kochi (06:15 pm). Took his bike from the space we had parked and went to a shop nearby to take kinda cool drink. It was then, I noticed the fact that he will be leaving to Cherthala to meet his friend and have his stay there with his schoolmate tonight. The sort of sadness arose in my mind, that the day with my first blogging friend is going to end soon. But still, I tried my level best to control myself. LOL. 😀 It was such a delightful time I have had after a long time. For me, he is not just a friend or lecturer now. I have already created a sturdy bond with this guy within 7 or 8 hours of time we had spent together. Tutors must be pro-faced from my views, not with friends, but with his students. The contrast which can be specified here about it is, “I’m a guy of his student’s ages, who has been having all those naughtiness in a hand similar to them.”

Started his bike, *SHAKE HANDS* with a promise that he will definitely meet me whenever he come to Kerala and invited me to come to his place on December, so that he will be available there. 🙂

PS: If this is what we termed as creation of new relationships, I really did enjoy it. We proudly welcome you all to the next version of Biennale in December, 2014 in the same location and spread our strength of unity we have been uplifted via our blogging family. Come on, Folks. Feel free to tell us if you any plans like that. We’ll be here to guide and help you. 🙂

Is he WEIRD?

It was by the end of that day, he decided to ask those dainty queries in front of a public place in the cyber space known as WordPress. Yes! He is bit weird because of his openness character I know. I haven’t felt anything bad about it though. Well, if you have some relevant answers to these incontinent queries from this guy, please do accept his REQUEST. LOL. He won’t care about your age group or continent or the way of life you belong to. 😀 😛

“I don’t know why I’m still SINGLE? Am I looking bad to impress a gal? How can I impress a beautiful gal? Why couldn’t I be in to a RELATIONSHIP? Can’t I live without having a partner in life? What actually will it happen if a partner comes to my life? If I’m in a relationship, will that results in any negative impact for my current freedom in life?”
Is he WEIRD?

A feather in one’s cap

I have been nominated for 2 awards by my 2 wonderful and brilliant fellows from this space in the beginning this new month of an innovative year of hopes and dreams which has to come through! Well, it was all because of my present busy schedules these days and some other personal issues, I was unable to look at its publication and hence I do apologize both of them for the delay in updating this award nomination post.

The award which I received at first was “Leiebster  Blog Award” from Soumya Dheedhi and Sofia, who are two among my favorite writers in this space. Soumya Dheedhi always do magic with the random poetry stuffs which expresses her well profound and mirthful contents. She can easily play with the normative words of expressions via her posts that strike every reader’s mind by the delicate opening of her thought provoking gleams. Now, a brief description about Sofia would be a bit hard job for me to share about I guess. She is SIMPLY ‘AWESOME’ in all respects as a writer who is especially concentrated in ‘ROMANTIC’ supremacy. I came to know about her ONLY by the end of ‘2012’ or birth of ‘2013’ it seems. What makes her PERFECT as a writer is the variety of contents she used to share for her readers itself. As a reader whenever I see her update in my mail account, there exists some keen curiosity in me for knowing about the contents she has added during this time! If you’re searching for kinda dandy articles, I strongly suggest Sofia’s world for it.

As per the rules provided for receiving of this award, I must have to answer some interesting queries attached to it.

1. What makes you happiest?

Whenever I used to think about my days with my dear and near ones.

2. Do you love the Ocean or the Mountains more?

I do love Mountains for a better refreshment cause of its silent atmosphere.

3. What has been your favorite moment of 2012?

With my sister during Onam vacation.

4. What is your favorite quote and why?

Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.
John F. Kennedy

A thought provoking quote which serves +ve hope in life!

5. Do you like yourself?

101%! 😉

6. Do you stay up till the Stroke of Midnight on New Years Eve?

Of course!

7. Something you wish you get it done ASAP?

The short-film project which I’m doing now.

8. What was your favorite class while still in school?

Social studies.

9. What musical instrument have you tried to learn to play?

Flute.

10. Anything you wish you had learned earlier?

The skill of MIMICRY!

11. Do you like to do crafts or draw or even paint?

Nope!

Note: Hey fellas! It’s been such a long time I was fully outdated from this space. The reason for my absence was the restrictions put forward by my Mom for the cyber area related activities cause of my internal exams started by the mid of this month. I was in an arena of kinda personal tortures at home as well. Not a debenture one of painful moments, but some expeditious moments which I had faced in life. Anyway, I’m IN for my Christmas holidays now. Yayayayay….! 😀 This vacation would be definitely a memorable one for me I wish. SERIOUSLY! Dheedhi is available at home by the beginning of this month inwards and will leave back to her college after Christmas only. It’s over 2 years of half-hearted December month without her, I’m going to celebrate this Christmas at home with Revu. 🙂

With Revu and cousin of mine for a function!

I’m going to reveal a delightful news in front of you all now! May be, you would have seen me as a little being who expresses his random thoughts through this WordPress domain. In addition to it, I’m going to participate in a short movie contest which will be conducted by a popular media in a national level stream over itself. For further information, click here. The topic which they have given for the contest is, “Severance”. According to the notifications published by them, a short-film of 5 minutes duration can be made on the basis of topic given and the cast and crew members should be from respective colleges only! I own a nice thread related to the topic and will be dealing with the direction and story part of my first movie. The cast and crew are already ready now and we’ll begin the shoot related works from tomorrow onwards. I need your kind blessings and prayers for this innovative job which RAHUL ASHOK is going to handle with for the first time. Wish you all a nice and joyous vacation days coming ahead, dear ones. Love ya all. Have a good time there. Cheers.\m/ 🙂

Blog of the Year 2012!

I have been nominated for ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award by one among the versatile writers in my WP blooms list. Thank you so much for reminding me during the selection procedures and nominating for this honor, Kim.  I’m so much glad to receive this interesting nomination from ya. Those who haven’t know this lady can check out her blog here. Wide variety of indulging poetries and genial stories are waiting for you over there. Have a nice read through her posts, folks.

As we all are going to float up into an innovative year by the end of very next month, this award can be considered as a notable one with this year’s (2012’s) specific tag I guess.

The ‘rules’ for this award are simple:

1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award

2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.

3 Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award – http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/   and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)

4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them

5 You can now also join our Facebook group – click ‘like’ on this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience

6 As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…

Yes – that’s right – there are stars to collect!

Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once – this award is different!

When you begin you will receive the ‘1 star’ award – and every time you are given the award by another blog – you can add another star!

There are total of 6 stars to collect.

Which means that you can check out your favorite blogs – and even if they have already been given the award by someone else – you can still bestow it on them again and help them to reach the maximum 6 stars!

For more information, check out the FAQ on The Thought Palette.

Now, here comes the most difficult pursuit while receiving the award nominations which always stuck with me in this space. Better if I say, “for all of us”. Nominating few among the 300’s of my pals, who all are good in one or other part of their writing task on my blog contacts list would be a rough cum half heartened job ya know? Anyway, as per the rules mentioned above, I must have to nominate a few for this honor. This domain always serves me ecstatic pleasure and encouragements via likes and comments for my little posts over here. Hence I specially dedicate this tag for all of my fellow followers in WP sphere. Thank you so much for your sincere supports and cares for an aspiring blogger like me. A Volition for Love: Part 4!

Here comes the final part of “A Volition for Love” series. I had gotten a few mails regarding the update of this last part and IDEAS about, how it’ll END. The final part can be negotiable for you all as I stated in the 3rd part it seems. Whatever the case it is, have a look at this updated part and check whether this own any coincidence with your expectations and I’m eagerly waiting for your verdicts too. 🙂 Here is the other 3 parts of this story series:
* A Volition for Love: Part 1!
*A Volition for Love: Part 2!
*A Volition for Love: Part 3!
“OMG! It’s Christina, who was dead on the last day. HOLY CRAP! My angel had passed away in a sanguinary way”, which was the 1st response from Mike when he came to know about this stabbing news from college. He was mentally and physically challenged after facing that sardonic moment of intolerable feelings and it results in a drastic suicide attempt from him. He reached back home with seepage of depression from that strangulated painful incident. Since his mom was very busy with her kitchen schedule, couldn’t have a look on her son at that instant. Mike enters the store room and searched for the rat killer poison kept inside the shelf. His mind was fully filled with the clinging thoughts about his angel and moved back to his room suddenly. With an innocently secluded look at his Mom standing on the kitchen, he closed the door for that nasty job.

“The saddest thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go.”

Yeah! She has gone from my life forever! “If you can do this far coarse aggrieved downfall in my life, will do show ya who am I, Hidden almighty!”, Mike said to himself. In between, his phone beeped continuously while getting Inbox messages. He got angered enough after watching this and suddenly broke it out by throwing away in that quavery heart. He grabbed the poison into his body and fell unconscious within 2 minutes! It took almost 3 hours for his soul to squat heaven’s door! Let’s hope for a better commandment of their souls to meet at least in the imaginary space.

FLASH BACK:Christina was on her way back to the college hostel from home in that early sanguinary morning! She has dreamed of meeting Mike and unleash the thoughts about the proposal from him on last night. Yeah! She was interested in having a relationship with a young good-looking cum freakish fellow like Mike. But her faith was an incommensurable one. It was actually a well planned accident by Norman and crew. Norman is a guy with psychic background, who already had a crush with Christina. When he came to know about Mike’s affection on her, rather than recondite talk, he directly planned for acutely proposal on Christina. But as she hasn’t felt any impression on this guy of crooked make-up, simply rejected it with a cute smile! It ended up with a benign murder, which later publicly announced as an ACCIDENT!

“When I see you there,
My heart turns to you,
Together on earth,
I found you again,
To search no more mates.

You pull at my heart,
Stirring my mind,
Parted we were,
To start our journey.

Will you let the fire of our twinship
Fire your soul once more?
Our hearts as one.”

PS: I have a keen determination to include this climax element in a separate part. Most of you may arise questions for its shortness and setting of plots on this part.
