....that's how their story ended up in silence. She walked away from him. He didn't utter a word to stop her; she didn't know that he loved her either, but she knew that she had never loved anybody else, just him. Only him.
He hid it from her
She closed his eyes, talked to him
He said, she listened

He loves her. She loves him. They’re in love. Today’s evening would be a turning point in both of their lives; they’re going to celebrate the very first anniversary of their unbreakable bond of love and comely relationship at the Brisbane Hotel on a candle light dinner’s table. She gets ready for the party, wearing the dazzling angel’s frock he’d gifted her last night. It gives an agile and innocent outlook for her. He’s always bad at the selection of her dresses, but this time he proved that he knows what she loves to wear on this special day.
It’s getting late. She’s been calling him for the 6th time thus far; he’s not responding to her calls.
“Maybe because he’ll have a lot more pending works left to be done at the work site”, she thought.
She sits on the floor, surfing through the gallery of his images. Memories flashes through her mind. She smiles.
An year ago, they’ve sacrificed so many things for their love to prosper and live together like they’ve wished for; many of them in the society hated and considered their relationship as a wrong take. He’s an orphan from a different religion and she’s from the richest family of Australia itself. This is their love story. Many among them hideously tried to question he and she; they tried to separate them everlastingly. But their love won at the end after so many melodramatic incidents happened in their families because of their relationship. They escaped from all those society’s cliche and right now they’re dwelling together at a rented home in Perth. He works as a technician at UWA and she’s a freelance writer.
She has a short-nap while going back to all those bitter most memories in their life. Nevertheless, they have never felt wrong with the decision they’ve chosen to live together.
Suddenly, she wakes up. It’s 12:30 now! She takes her cell out from the handbag and checks out whether she’s received any calls from him. Nothing is there in the list. She gasps and drinks water from the bottle on the table. She takes her cell and calls him again. It rings; although, he’s not picking up the call this time, too.
She gets tensed; she walks down through the corridor; she looks out through the open window to see whether he’s coming by that way or not. But there is no signs of her husband’s traces on that pathway.
She finds it very difficult to understand the situation. She feels so lonely to stand there like a dumb. She doesn’t even know where he’s.
She calls him, again. “The number you’re calling is currently switched off. Please try again later”, it says.
Her heart ponders. She faints down on the ground. She feels like killing herself on that midnight.
Her cell blinks with his name. It’s not ringing. She picks up the call.
“Hello…! Where are you?”
“Hello! May I know who is this?”
“What? Who is this? Who are you? Where is he?”
“Excuse me, Ma’am. Dr. John is talking here. Is this she?
“I’m absolutely sorry to say this to you that he met with an accident nearer by Brisbane Hotel, an hour ago. His condition isn’t that critical, however he’s in Intensive Care Unit now. You don’t have to worry about anything right at the moment. We’ll take care of him. Have trust on your God. But could you please come to The Mount Hospital at the earliest as possible?”
“What…? What happened to him?”
“I’m coming…. I’m….”
She reaches at The Mount Hospital in a hurry and enquires to a lady at the reception counter regarding the location of ICU. She runs through the steps and finds out the ICU, which is on the 5th floor, in a short while.
“She? Aren’t you?”
“….tell me where is he?”
“He’s absolutely fine now. You don’t have worry about anything, Ma’am. We’ve taken care of him. He’ll be transferred to the room after a few hours. He’d a major injury on his leg. We’ve tried our level best to recover him from the accident’s outcome. There was an agreement to be signed before the operation to be done. But there was no need of doing this operation like we’d thought of. There is nothing to worry about him right now. You can see him soon. Don’t worry!”
Finally, she releases her long breath. She cries. She doesn’t try to stop herself from doing it. She sits on the one of the chair stowed in front of the ICU room.
“Thank you so much, Dr. John”, she said to Dr. John, a middle aged- good looking man, who’s been walking away from the ICU.
After a few hours, he gets shifted to room. He’s unconscious. She gets inside and closes the door. She sits nearer to him and entangles her fingers with his fingers.
She kisses him on his forehead. She stares at him like she always does.
“This isn’t the first time! He doesn’t understand how he rides on the road. He doesn’t know how much I need him. He’s like this only. But I know this. He loves me. He loves me from the core of his heart. He’s mine. He’s my everything”, she thought.
A fairy night’s end.
